 3. Make Sure You Service Your Fuel Injection System at Least Every 30,000 Miles I know that most of the manufactures are now claiming the vehicle can go to 100,000 miles before its first tune-up. In my opinion, and from past experience, I feel this is way too long to extend out service. Having a telephone electronics background where the equipment has to be “mission ready” the best way to make this possible was to service and inspect the working components on a consistent basis. This allowed us to spot potentially disastrous breakdowns and keep them from occurring. With a fuel injection system, when a component, such as an oxygen sensor is starting to fail or deteriorate, the fuel economy can be drastically decreased. Not only that, it is much cheaper to maintain a clean fuel injection system, than it is to replace expensive injections parts! We recommend a MotorVac fuel system service every 30,000 miles. |
